Mentoring engineers and establishing reliable, repeatable delivery processes.
Quillabs is my independent practice — 20+ years of frontend architecture and engineering leadership offered as a fully-remote consulting engagement. I set frontend direction, lead delivery across multiple teams, guide legacy modernisation and rewrites, and advise product and leadership on technology, planning and resourcing.
Architected and delivered the complete rewrite of two legacy applications spanning marketing, content management and e-commerce — owning architecture, planning, estimation and development throughout, plus proofs of concept to guide future product direction. Now continuing as consulting engineering lead across multiple teams.
Led the migration of a high-traffic sports-betting and casino platform from a legacy app to a Single Page Application, then joined a dedicated performance-optimisation team as one of the company’s lead frontend developers. Delivered in SCRUM throughout.
Built client websites, mainly WordPress-based, and an internal content management system used by two of the agency’s main clients.

An admin platform for an independent pet-grooming salon. The owner books appointments and sees them on a calendar, keeps records for each client and their pets — dogs and cats — and tracks the actual cost of every appointment. It replaced a tangle of spreadsheets and a paper diary with a single live view of the day.
Independent consulting engagement with The Agora Companies — frontend architecture, multi-team delivery leadership and technical advisory to product and leadership.
Led multiple teams, defined frontend architecture, drove agile practice; delivered two complete legacy rewrites and mentored engineers across the department.
Senior frontend on a high-traffic betting & casino platform; led the SPA migration and joined the lead performance-optimisation team.
Frontend on the startup’s core reactions-widget product (similar to Facebook’s Like button) and its company websites.
Built client websites, mainly WordPress-based, and an internal CMS used by two of the agency’s main clients.
Editorial CMS and aggregation web app; earlier, PLC and PC software for plasma-etching systems.
